The new drive is going to come jumpered for Master so that's the way I've been doing it lately as you doesn't have to bother changing jumpers. While there is only room for one drive in the system you can easily attach the second drive to either the second connector on the Primary IDE cable or if your PC has the CDROM on the Secondary IDE Channel you can temporarily remove the cable from the CDROM and attach the new drive there.
